Fisker and Foxconn partners to produce Fisker Pear in Ohio

Fisker Inc, the California based creator of sustainable electric vehicles and advanced mobility solutions announced production of their second vehicle, the Fisker Pear, at Foxconn's factory in Ohio.

Followed by the Fisker Ocean, that's slated to get into production starting November 17, 2022 in Austria, the Fisker Pear is the second vehicle by the company and is expected to be priced below $29,000 before incentives. The vehicle was designed and engineered to have fewer parts for rapid, simplified manufacture.

Production of the Fisker Pear is supposed to commence from 2024. Both Foxconn and Fisker teams are fully engaged and expect to produce minimum 250,000 Fisker Pear units a year at the plant. This second offering from Fisker will be built on a new architecture, and as a result, the platform will be used to build two additional models that Fisker will launch at a later date.

Henrik Fisker, Fisker Chairman and CEO said “The Pear will be a revolutionary electric vehicle that won’t fit into any existing segment.”
